Work Packages

The INTERCEPT project is structured into six focused work packages, each contributing to different aspects of the project’s mission. From system design and AI tool development to real-world testing and stakeholder engagement, these work packages ensure a seamless, end-to-end approach to enhancing cybersecurity and cross-border threat intelligence.

Work package WP1 – Project management and coordination

Ensures the project aligns with EU requirements, meeting all commitments including quality, deliverables, and milestones. It coordinates activities and implements mechanisms for progress monitoring, risk management, and quality assurance. The objective of this WP is to ensure fist shape effective management so that the project meets all its set objectives (high quality performance, deliverables, milestones etc.) and to coordinate all project activities in such a manner to facilitate the anticipated outcome by applying mechanisms for overall project coordination, progress monitoring, resource and risk management and quality assurance.

Work package WP2 – Requirements analysis and information system design

Within the WP2 TSP requirements will be analysed, AI framework solution architecture frameworks and models will be designed, analysis of MISP platform licensing requirements for CTI platform designed, IMS system designed (based on analysis) and data management module for SLO and CRO will design. The objective of this WP is to Execute analysis of all related systems and set up the system design with accompanying DMPs for both countries.

WP Lead: KONČAR Digital

Work package WP3 – Development of cybersecurity AI tools and services

WP3 is focused on Development of core INTERCEPT AI/ML tools and services. Developing cyber security AI tools and services involves several crucial steps, with data normalization and preparation being one of the foundational aspects, especially when dealing with inputs from various sources and SOC. The objective of this WP is to develop core AI/ML tools and services for the INTERCEPT TSP functionalities.

WP Lead: KONČAR Digital

Work package WP4 – Integration of Tool & Services & Infrastructure operation

In WP 4 all the developed and integrated technology will be set up to a functioning system for cross-boarder security (with focal point in Threat sharing Platform). The objective of WP4 is to develop an operational TSP that is ready for use-case proof of concept and optimisation.

Wp Lead: T-2 d.o.o.

Work package WP5 – Use case testing and validation

WP5 will test and validate the developed solutions and in use-cases, creating a reverse loop of information to optimize the system. Use cases will include Post, two national SOCs (SI-cert and CRO-cert) environments for proof of concept. It will give insights for preparing a business model for both commercial uptakers/users and National SOCs. The goal is to demonstrate improvements in quantitative metrics, such as detection accuracy and response time, as well as in qualitative user feedback through the use of AI/ML tools.

WP Lead: T-2 d.o.o.

Work package WP6 – Communication & Dissemination and Trainings

This WP has been designed to complement and interconnect all other WPs by engaging identified stakeholders and disseminate and communicate INTERCEPT approaches, experiences, functionalities and capacity building opportunities in the framework of raising awareness and building capacity on the importance and comparative advantages of cybersecurity service of SOCs and a common Threat Sharing Platform. The overall objective of WP6 is to promote INTERCEPTSs approaches and results on the level of communication, dissemination, capacity building, knowledge exchange, stakeholder engagement and commitment. Its main priority is realisation of the visibility and capacity building objectives.
