Building the Foundations of Effective Cybersecurity: Join the INTERCEPT Webinar!

October 19, 2026

Organising events and sharing knowledge are at the heart of the INTERCEPT project and reflect one of Europe’s broader goals of strengthening cybersecurity awareness and resilience.

While developing advanced technical solutions remains essential, equipping the general public, employees, businesses, cybersecurity professionals and decision-makers with the knowledge and skills to recognise and respond to cyber threats is equally important. Cybersecurity is constantly evolving, with new threats and challenges emerging almost daily, particularly as artificial intelligence becomes more widely used.

With this in mind, the INTERCEPT consortium is organising the online webinar Building the Foundations of Effective Cybersecurity on 18 November 2026, bringing together experts from SI-CERT, Pošta Slovenije and T-2 to share practical insights into everyday cybersecurity challenges and ways to strengthen digital protection.

What to Expect?

During the one-hour webinar, participants will explore three key cybersecurity topics:

Latest Phishing Trends and Cybersecurity Cooperation

Matej Breznik (SI-CERT) will discuss evolving phishing threats, emerging techniques and the importance of information sharing and cooperation in strengthening cybersecurity.

Strengthening Account Security with Multi-Factor Authentication

Igor Unger (Pošta Slovenije) will explain why passwords alone are not always sufficient and how Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) can help protect digital accounts against unauthorised access.

Building Cybersecurity Knowledge with CyberLab

Mojca Razboršek (T-2) will introduce CyberLab, the INTERCEPT project’s online capacity-building platform, where users can explore educational content, test their knowledge through interactive quizzes and continue learning beyond the webinar.

Who Should Attend?

The webinar is designed for a broad audience, including employees, SMEs, managers, decision-makers, cybersecurity professionals and anyone interested in improving their everyday digital security.

No previous technical or cybersecurity knowledge is required. The sessions will focus on practical, easy-to-understand information that participants can apply in their professional and everyday activities.
